Another day, another ten headlines of how things are stalled in the senate or house – more hours and hours of tv, radio, blogoshpere meanderings about which side is right, which side is moral, which side speaks for the people, which topic will deride the already gone fundamentals and morals of the people – more time spent dreaming about a country that used to be but never really existed – more bullshit about how to create jobs, who to tax, who not to tax, where to drill, to drill or not – more and more and more ad infinitum. The system doesn’t work, i’m tired of reading about things going in front of congress, Canadian, American, European, it’s all the same shit – stalled politics, division’s that make no sense. It seems the people would rather have governments that doesn’t do anything than do something that doesn’t fit in with their perceived world view.

Fear mongering about socialism, fascism, etc. is a fucking huge waste of time – no matter what the system, power corrupts. I have always said that a theocracy is the best system, with a just king/emperor, but the problem is, power corrupts and creates hell for the subjects. But is this system any better? Is any system any better? Politicians are damming the river, trying to keep everything the same, but what they don’t realize is they can’t control the ebbs and flows of time and destiny. Destiny will always prevail, the tighter the grip on something that is doomed to die doesn’t keep it from dying, it can only make it die faster, or die harder.

I think people enjoy complaining about government too much, it’s this sides fault we aren’t a better country, this side is morally absurd and we must stop them to protect our country’s values. Stop it. It’s not any sides fault, it’s ours. The people have become two bickering siblings, yelling back and forth and running to mom (the media) when things don’t go their way, screaming bloody murder – and anyone who grew up with a sibling knows you are both at fault. It’s not even worth my time to comment on politics anymore, it’s not worth my time to make fun of it, it’s not worth my time to keep informed anymore – because they don’t do anything. Nothing gets done, we are trapped in purgatory of nothingness. We cannot move forward, and we are left to decay. It’s sad, we would’ve been a great civilization, but sadly we’re just a bunch of spoiled brats bickering back and forth over who’s right and wrong.

I got news for ya kids. Both sides are right, and both sides are wrong. On every issue. What you need to do is demand action, stop being afraid of potentials – corporate protectionism has bled to every fabric of society – every one is afraid to take a risk, they don’t want to risk shattering the eggshell they have surrounded themselves in. What we are left with is lack of innovation, and a car that is running on fumes with no gas left to fill it. Where we go from here is a choice i leave to you. Stop taking sides. They’re all bullshit. Believe in what you believe in, stop attacking others for their beliefs, somewhere in the human soul is the capacity for tolerance. We need to be seeking a common world where we can all enjoy the benefits of freedom and the pursuit of happiness with out the expense of others. People tend to leave that last part out. Wake up and smell the fucking coffee.
